The Role – Senior Electrical Design Engineer
This is a senior-level electrical design role within a high-performing building services team. You will lead electrical design packages from early concept through to construction and handover, ensuring designs meet programme, budget and technical standards.
You will play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects, influencing design decisions, maintaining quality standards, and supporting junior engineers while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Salary: €70,000 – €90,000 DOE

The Role – Senior Electrical Design Engineer
This is a senior-level electrical design role within a high-performing building services team. You will lead electrical design packages from early concept through to construction and handover, ensuring designs meet programme, budget and technical standards.
You will play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects, influencing design decisions, maintaining quality standards, and supporting junior engineers while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical building services design across multiple projects
- Develop LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and small power systems
- Design fire alarm, data, security and life safety systems
- Prepare detailed calculations, specifications and technical reports
- Produce and review electrical drawings, schematics and coordinated BIM models
- Coordinate with mechanical, architectural and structural teams
- Attend design meetings, site visits and technical reviews
- Review contractor submissions and respond to RFIs and technical queries
- Ensure compliance with Irish and UK regulations and industry standards
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- 6 years’ experience in electrical design within a consultancy environment
- Strong experience delivering building services design on complex projects
- Excellent knowledge of LV systems, lighting and building services infrastructure
- Experience with fire alarm, data and life safety systems
- Strong understanding of Irish and UK regulations and standards
- Proficient in AutoCAD and ideally Revit MEP
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with strong coordination skills
Salary: €70,000 – €90,000 DOE
