The Role – MEP Engineer The MEP Engineer will support the coordination, design review and on site delivery of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on major construction projects. Reporting to the Senior MEP Engineer or MEP Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring building services installations are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality standards.
This role offers excellent exposure to large multidisciplinary construction teams and provides the opportunity to develop your technical expertise across design coordination, installation management and commissioning of building services systems.
Key Responsibilities • Assisting with the review and coordination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs, drawings and technical specifications
• Supporting the integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements to ensure buildability
• Assisting with planning and sequencing of building services installations on site
• Monitoring installation progress and supporting programme delivery for MEP packages
• Supporting technical problem solving on site during construction phases
• Assisting with commissioning, testing and final handover of building services systems
• Attending design coordination meetings and technical project workshops
• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and the wider construction team to ensure effective project delivery
• Supporting the use of BIM, digital construction tools and coordinated design processes
About You • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience working with mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on construction projects
• Strong understanding of building services design coordination and site installation processes
• Experience working with multidisciplinary construction teams
• Strong analytical and technical problem solving abilities
• Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across project teams
• Interest in sustainable building services and energy efficient design solutions
• Familiarity with BIM and digital construction tools is advantageous
