The Role – Senior MEP Lead The Senior MEP Lead provides technical and operational leadership across building services delivery on major construction projects. Reporting to the Regional MEP Lead, this role oversees the integration, coordination and performance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across one or multiple projects.
You will lead technical strategy, oversee MEP design and installation delivery, and ensure that building services systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, quality and regulatory standards. The role also plays a key part in mentoring building services teams and supporting best practice across the wider construction business.
Key Responsibilities • Providing senior technical leadership across all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems on construction projects
• Overseeing the design review, coordination, installation and commissioning of building services systems
• Ensuring full integration of MEP services with structural, architectural and civil engineering disciplines
• Reviewing technical documentation, design submissions and specifications for compliance with project requirements
• Monitoring performance, risk and quality across MEP packages throughout the project lifecycle
• Supporting Building Services Managers and project teams to deliver projects safely and on programme
• Implementing best practice processes across design coordination, installation and commissioning
• Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, safety requirements and industry standards
• Leading technical investigations and implementing lessons learned across projects
• Providing mentorship and leadership to engineers and building services teams
About You • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Extensive experience in senior MEP or building services leadership roles within construction
• Strong technical knowledge of building services systems including design, installation and commissioning
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on large scale construction projects
• Experience delivering integrated MEP solutions across complex developments
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction project delivery
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring engineers and developing building services teams
• Chartered status or membership with CIBSE, IET or Engineers Ireland is desirable
