M&E Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Electrical Construction

With a strong pipeline of projects in Dublin and across Ireland, the business continues to expand its commercial team, providing excellent opportunities for experienced M&E Quantity Surveyors to work on technically demanding projects within a Tier One construction environment.
The Role – M&E Quantity Surveyor The M&E Quantity Surveyor will join the commercial team and take responsibility for the financial management of mechanical and electrical packages on major construction projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers and subcontractors, you will ensure that building services works are delivered within budget while maintaining high standards of commercial control and reporting.
This role provides exposure to large scale projects where building services systems form a critical element of the overall construction delivery.
Key Responsibilities • Managing cost control, measurement and valuation of mechanical and electrical packages throughout the project lifecycle
• Preparing and negotiating contracts and subcontracts for M&E works
• Monitoring project budgets, forecasts and cash flow to ensure strong financial performance
• Assessing and processing interim valuations, variations, claims and final accounts
• Supporting procurement strategies for mechanical and electrical subcontractors
• Liaising with project managers, consultants and subcontractors to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
• Maintaining accurate commercial records, cost reports and financial analysis
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, company policies and construction regulations
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities to improve cost efficiency across projects
About You • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on mechanical and electrical packages
• Strong understanding of building services systems, drawings and specifications
• Experience on large scale construction projects such as commercial, infrastructure, data centre or life sciences developments
• Strong knowledge of procurement, cost management and contract administration
• Familiarity with construction contracts such as NEC and JCT
• Excellent analytical, commercial and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines within a fast paced project environment
