The Role – Electrical Lead The Electrical Lead will take responsibility for the delivery of electrical systems on large scale data centre and advanced technology construction projects in Amsterdam. Reporting to the Project Director and working closely with the MEP Lead and engineering leadership team, you will oversee the full electrical scope from design review and installation through to commissioning and project handover.
This is a senior technical and leadership role ensuring electrical installations are delivered safely, on programme and in compliance with international standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities • Leading the electrical delivery team across all project phases including installation, testing and commissioning
• Overseeing electrical systems including LV and MV distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting, fire alarm and life safety systems
• Coordinating electrical works with mechanical, instrumentation, BMS and process teams to ensure integrated project delivery
• Reviewing and approving electrical design documents, technical submissions and material selections
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards including IEC, BS and IEEE
• Managing FAT, SAT and integrated system testing for electrical installations
• Ensuring strong health and safety performance across all electrical works on site
• Implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures for electrical packages
• Managing electrical subcontractors and providing technical guidance to engineers and supervisors
• Reporting progress, risks and programme updates to project leadership
About You • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong technical knowledge of LV and MV distribution systems, critical power and life safety systems
• Proven experience leading electrical delivery on large scale construction or engineering projects
• Experience working on mission critical projects such as data centres, life sciences or advanced technology facilities
• Strong understanding of commissioning, system testing and project handover processes
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and problem solving abilities
• Familiarity with BIM and digital construction tools is advantageous
• Chartered status or working towards professional membership is beneficial
