Their work spans municipal water treatment plants, industrial process facilities, pumping stations, and large-scale data centre water treatment projects across Europe.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Contracts team based in Mallow, Co Cork.
The Role: Electrical Engineer
The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping station, and data centre water treatment projects from design review through installation, commissioning, and handover.
Working closely with Contracts Managers, Design Teams, BIM Coordinators, Specialist Vendors, Site Teams, and Clients, you will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
This is a varied and technically challenging role offering excellent exposure across design, construction, commissioning, and project delivery.
Must Have Requirements
You are a technically strong Electrical Engineer with a practical understanding of industrial electrical systems and project delivery.
You enjoy solving technical challenges, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and seeing projects progress from design through commissioning and handover.
You are organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within fast-paced project environments where no two days are the same.

Must Have Requirements
- Third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Qualified Electricians looking to move into an engineering role will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical installations and electrical systems.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of three-phase motors, starters, control panels, PLCs, and associated instrumentation.
- Full Irish or EU driving licence.
- Experience working on water treatment, wastewater treatment, utilities, industrial, or process projects.
- Knowledge of electrical design review and technical submittal processes.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Trimble, or similar design platforms.
- Experience working with contractors, suppliers, and specialist vendors.
- Strong understanding of Safe Electric certification requirements.
- Experience working on data centre water treatment projects.
- Knowledge of commissioning and startup procedures.
- Exposure to BIM coordination and digital construction processes.
- Understanding of WIMES, IEC, and I.S.10101 standards.
- Design and develop electrical systems for water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.
- Review electrical designs and identify design gaps, conflicts, and deviations from specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Validate cable sizing calculations and provide technical recommendations.
- Prepare and manage technical submittals and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Manage electrical aspects of projects and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Review electrical installations with BIM teams to ensure designs are fully constructible and maintainable.
- Liaise with design teams and supply chain partners to ensure equipment and systems comply with project specifications.
- Manage specialist vendors during commissioning activities and ensure timely completion of works.
- Develop site instruction packs, test packs, and handover documentation.
- Attend quality meetings and participate in QA/QC inspections and walkdowns.
- Respond to technical queries from site teams relating to drawings, specifications, materials, and equipment.
- Issue requisitions and verify materials delivered comply with approved specifications and submittals.
- Work closely with automation, mechanical, civil, and process engineering teams throughout project delivery.
