The Role: Commissioning Manager
Based on a major data centre project in Fredericia, Denmark, the Commissioning Manager will take full responsibility for planning, coordinating, and delivering all turnover, testing, and commissioning activities across the project.
Reporting into senior project leadership, you will lead commissioning engineers, authorised persons, specialist vendors, subcontractors, and testing teams while acting as the primary commissioning interface with the client and consultant teams.
This is a key leadership position focused on programme delivery, commissioning strategy, quality control, stakeholder management, and successful project handover within a live mission-critical environment.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Commissioning Manager with a strong background delivering complex M&E systems within data centres or other mission-critical environments.
You understand how commissioning integrates with construction, programme delivery, quality assurance, and client expectations. You are comfortable leading large multidisciplinary teams while maintaining control of documentation, reporting, testing procedures, and system handovers.
You possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while driving successful project outcomes.

The Role: Commissioning Manager

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 8 years' experience in a commissioning, testing, turnover, or commissioning leadership role
- Proven experience required delivering data centre or other mission-critical construction projects
- Third level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline is required
- Strong leadership experience managing commissioning teams, specialist vendors, and project stakeholders
- Excellent reporting, planning, documentation, and programme management skills
- Experience delivering hyperscale data centres in Europe
- Integrated Systems Testing (IST) experience
- Previous Authorised Person responsibilities
- Experience working with large M&E contractors
- Exposure to pharmaceutical or critical infrastructure projects
- Membership of a relevant engineering institution
- Experience supporting tender reviews and bid submissions
- Knowledge of digital commissioning platforms and turnover systems
- Multi-country project delivery experience
- Lead all turnover, testing, and commissioning activities across the project
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, protocols, and system matrices
- Manage commissioning programme delivery in line with overall construction milestones
- Chair commissioning kick-off meetings and readiness reviews
- Lead commissionability reviews and provide sequencing input during project delivery
- Coordinate commissioning engineers, authorised persons, specialist testers, and vendors
- Ensure all system walk-downs and inspections are completed correctly
- Monitor installation quality and commissioning readiness across all systems
- Manage commissioning-related non-conformances and close-out activities
- Review and approve vendor SAT procedures and commissioning documentation
- Liaise closely with construction, engineering, QA/QC, and client teams
- Ensure all witness testing, sign-offs, and acceptance procedures are completed
- Track snagging, turnover, and final system close-out activities
- Oversee client training programmes and handover documentation
- Produce detailed commissioning reports for senior management and client stakeholders
- Support audits, inspections, and final project handover activities
