The Role Sales Director
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for shaping and delivering the company’s sales strategy. Working closely with the Board, you will drive revenue growth across Ireland while leading new business development initiatives in the UK and Europe.
You will take ownership of key client relationships, oversee account management strategy and play a central role in identifying and converting new opportunities. The role also involves close collaboration with internal teams including tendering and operations to ensure a joined-up approach to project acquisition and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with business growth objectives
Lead account management across the Republic of Ireland, maintaining and expanding key client relationships
Drive new business development across the UK and European markets
Work closely with the Board and senior leadership team on commercial strategy and market positioning
Collaborate with the tendering team to track live opportunities and support bid strategy
Represent the business at industry events, networking functions and client meetings
Build and mentor a high-performing sales function as the company grows
Provide regular reporting and forecasting on sales performance and pipeline
About You
Proven track record in a senior sales or business development role within the M&E or construction sector
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales, with exposure to mechanical or building services projects
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and secure high-value opportunities
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
Confident engaging at board level with clients and stakeholders
Self-motivated, driven and comfortable operating in a strategic leadership role
Third level qualification in business, marketing or related discipline is desirable
