The Role – Senior Contracts Manager
Based on a major data centre project in Frankfurt, you will take full responsibility for the commercial and contractual management of large-scale MEP packages. This is a senior role with oversight of project performance, ensuring delivery aligns with programme, budget, and contractual requirements.
You will work closely with project directors, project managers, and engineering teams while acting as the key commercial interface with clients and stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage risk across a fast-paced construction environment.

You will work closely with project directors, project managers, and engineering teams while acting as the key commercial interface with clients and stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage risk across a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of the project from pre-construction through to final account
- Review, negotiate, and manage contract terms to protect the company’s commercial position
- Manage variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes
- Lead procurement strategy and subcontractor commercial management
- Monitor budgets, cost forecasts, and financial performance across all work packages
- Support project delivery teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved
- Implement effective risk management and cost control procedures
- Act as the main commercial point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Lead commercial reporting, cost reviews, and progress meetings
- Provide leadership and mentorship to QS teams and commercial staff on site
- 10 years’ experience in contract or commercial management within MEP or construction
- Strong background delivering large-scale data centre or similarly complex projects
- Excellent knowledge of contract forms such as NEC, FIDIC, or equivalent
- Proven experience managing commercial risk and driving project profitability
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working on international projects or with multinational clients is advantageous
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar preferred
