The Role – Project Quality Manager

As Project Quality Manager, you will take full ownership of the quality function on a major construction project, ensuring all works are delivered in line with ISO standards, client specifications and industry regulations. You will act as a key partner to the project leadership team, embedding robust quality systems and driving a culture of excellence across all disciplines on site.

This is a senior role with real influence over project outcomes, where your input will directly impact programme certainty, cost control and overall project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of project quality systems aligned with ISO9001 and company standards
• Develop and manage Inspection and Test Plans, quality control procedures and sign off processes
• Carry out regular audits, inspections and quality reviews across all construction activities
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier quality, ensuring materials and workmanship meet required standards
• Manage quality documentation, reporting and tracking of all inspections, tests and audits
• Identify quality risks early and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned across the project
• Support commissioning and handover, ensuring all quality documentation is complete and compliant
• Act as the main point of contact for quality with clients and stakeholders
• Deliver training and promote a strong quality culture across all site teams

About You

• Degree qualified in construction management, engineering or a related discipline
• Strong background in quality management within construction, data centre or industrial projects
• Proven experience implementing ISO9001 quality systems on large scale projects
• Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 is beneficial
• Experienced in audits, inspections, ITPs and quality documentation management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence site teams and subcontractors
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with strong problem solving and root cause analysis capability
• Driven, detail focused and committed to delivering right first time
