Electrical Quantity Surveyor – Limerick
You are an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial background, looking to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering large-scale electrical and M&E projects in the Limerick region.
This is a commercially focused role, offering end-to-end involvement from tender stage through to final account. You will play a key role in protecting margins, managing subcontractor accounts, and ensuring projects remain financially controlled, accurate, and commercially successful.

Electrical Quantity Surveyor Skills: Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Electrical or M&E Quantity Surveying role
Strong background delivering commercial management on live construction projects
Proven experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments
Excellent knowledge of BOQs, cost plans, interim valuations, and final accounts
Strong understanding of variations, remeasures, dayworks, and claims
Ability to identify and manage commercial risk proactively
Experience working closely with project management and planning teams
Strong negotiation and communication skills with clients and subcontractors
High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage own workload
Strong working knowledge of ISMS and commercial record keeping
As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor: Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets, cost plans, and profit forecasts
Produce accurate interim valuations and final accounts
Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts, valuations, retentions, and payments
Identify commercial risks and opportunities early and implement mitigation strategies
Administer variations, remeasures, dayworks, and commercial claims
Maintain clear, auditable commercial records and documentation
Attend and lead commercial meetings with subcontractors and clients
Work closely with Planning Engineers to ensure financial reporting aligns with programme progress
Support project teams with cost reporting and cash flow forecasting
Negotiate fair and commercially sound outcomes with clients and representatives
Ensure commercial processes comply with company procedures and ISMS requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial systems and controls
Health & Safety / Compliance: Ensure all commercial activities comply with company ISMS policies
Support a professional, compliant, and well-documented project environment
Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and data protection
