You are an experienced MEICA Project Engineer with a background in electrical and ICA works, looking to join a well-established engineering contractor delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland.
This role provides exposure across the full project lifecycle, from design review and site supervision through installation, testing, and commissioning. You will work closely with project managers, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and multi-disciplinary engineers to ensure safe, high-quality delivery of MEICA packages.

MEICA Project Engineer Skills: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline, or a Diploma with suitable experience
1–5 years’ post-graduate experience within a MEICA / M&E contracting environment
Strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems
Experience supporting testing and commissioning activities on infrastructure projects
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capability
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams
Full clean Irish / EU driving licence
Authorised to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)
As a MEICA Project Engineer: Carry out regular EICA design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements
Provide day-to-day site supervision of MEICA works, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
Monitor installation progress and ensure works align with drawings and specifications
Manage projects or defined work packages as required
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and ICA systems
Liaise with Commissioning Managers and Engineers to plan and coordinate commissioning activities
Implement and enforce quality control procedures and carry out regular inspections
Identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions where required
Assist with site investigations, design reviews, and project planning
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and process teams to ensure integrated delivery
Engage with subcontractors, assist in developing scope documents, and monitor performance
Maintain accurate project documentation and records
Escalate programme, quality, or safety issues to the Project Manager or Contracts Manager
Health & Safety / Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices on site
Carry out regular safety inspections and proactively manage risk
Promote a safety-first culture across MEICA and subcontractor teams
Support continuous improvement in safety performance
