Job title: OFCI Package Manager – Data Centre Construction

This specialist European main contractor delivers large scale data centre and mission critical projects across the Nordic region and mainland Europe.
With a strong pipeline of major data centre developments, they are looking for an experienced OFCI Package Manager to join the project team in Helsinki, Finland. This is a key delivery role managing owner furnished, contractor installed equipment through procurement, logistics, installation and commissioning.
The Role: OFCI Package Manager
As OFCI Package Manager, you will take responsibility for the full lifecycle of OFCI equipment packages, acting as the main point of contact between client appointed vendors and the wider project team.
You will work closely with engineering, planning, construction and commissioning teams to ensure vendor supplied equipment is delivered, installed and commissioned safely, on programme and in line with the required technical and quality standards.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced OFCI Package Manager, M&E Package Manager or senior engineering professional with at least 7 years’ experience working with an M&E contractor.
You will have strong experience managing vendor supplied equipment and coordinating packages through delivery, installation and commissioning, ideally within live data centre or mission critical construction environments.
You should be technically strong, commercially aware and comfortable coordinating multiple vendors and project stakeholders while keeping critical equipment aligned with programme.
What’s on Offer
Salary: €95,000 DOE
This is a key package management position on a major Helsinki data centre project, giving you ownership of critical OFCI equipment from procurement and vendor coordination through installation and commissioning.
The €250 net weekly allowance, 17/4 rotation, solo accommodation and return flights provide a strong overseas package, with further opportunities available across a long term pipeline of European data centre developments.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 7+ years’ experience with an M&E contractor on large scale construction projects
- Proven mission critical or data centre project experience required
- Hands on experience managing vendor supplied electrical or mechanical equipment through installation and commissioning
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project required
- Relevant Electrical Engineering or related qualification required
- Live data centre construction experience preferred
- Previous responsibility for OFCI or specialist equipment packages beneficial
- European construction experience beneficial
- Experience working within safety critical installation environments
- Manage OFCI equipment packages from procurement through delivery, installation and commissioning
- Act as the main technical and process lead for OFCI packages across the project
- Coordinate client appointed vendors, subcontractors and project stakeholders
- Manage the OFCI team and ensure works are properly engineered, coordinated and executed
- Track equipment delivery and installation against the overall construction programme
- Work closely with engineering, planning and commissioning teams
- Lead OFCI coordination meetings with clients, vendors and subcontractors
- Monitor package progress and identify programme, technical and delivery risks
- Ensure vendor supplied equipment meets technical, safety and quality requirements before installation
- Provide technical oversight and support the resolution of contractual and operational issues
- Maintain project compliance, client confidentiality and data security requirements
