The Role – MEP Detailer
As an MEP Detailer, you will play a central role in the delivery of coordinated 3D and 2D building services models on large scale construction projects. Working within a BIM environment, you will support the Lead MEP Coordinator and project team to ensure that all mechanical and electrical systems are fully coordinated, clash free and aligned with programme requirements.
This position offers exposure to complex MEP installations on high value projects, with real responsibility for quality, accuracy and technical compliance from pre construction through to final record drawings.

The Role – MEP Detailer
As an MEP Detailer, you will play a central role in the delivery of coordinated 3D and 2D building services models on large scale construction projects. Key Responsibilities
- Produce coordinated 3D models using Revit and Fabrication CAD for mechanical and electrical services
- Develop and issue 2D coordination and installation drawings in line with project requirements
- Carry out regular clash detection against federated models and assist in resolving coordination issues
- Support the daily build and maintenance of the federated BIM model
- Manage and administer model files, including document control and drawing registers
- Attend coordination meetings and liaise with project engineers and site management teams
- Assist with on site verification, surveying, point cloud scanning and total station operation
- Ensure all drawing outputs meet contract, quality and client standards
- Contribute to tender drawings and pre construction BIM deliverables when required
- Third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, or a strong trade background with BIM qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience in an MEP detailing or BIM coordination role within construction
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems
- Proficient in Revit with experience in Fabrication CAD and clash detection processes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast paced project environment
- Detail focused with a strong commitment to quality and coordination accuracy
- Ambition to progress to Lead MEP Coordinator level over time
