A highly respected Irish main contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex construction projects is seeking an MEP Coordinator for a major data centre development in Co Dublin.

With decades of experience delivering commercial, healthcare, residential, industrial, and mission-critical projects, this contractor is known for its quality-driven approach, strong safety culture, and ability to deliver technically demanding projects on programme. The company continues to expand its data centre portfolio across Ireland and Europe, creating excellent long-term opportunities for construction professionals.

The Role: MEP Coordinator

Based on a large-scale data centre project in Co Dublin, the MEP Coordinator will be responsible for managing the coordination of all mechanical, electrical, and public health services throughout the construction process.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, design consultants, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and site management to ensure all MEP installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

The successful MEP Coordinator will play a critical role in programme delivery, technical compliance, quality assurance, and commissioning readiness on this high-profile data centre project.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 3 years' experience as an MEP Coordinator, Building Services Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Electrical Engineer
• Proven experience coordinating mechanical and electrical services on large construction projects
• Experience working with a main contractor, specialist M&E contractor, or building services contractor is required
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems
• Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and subcontractor documentation

Preferred Experience

• Data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, semiconductor, or mission-critical project experience preferred
• Experience with BIM 360, Navisworks, Procore, or similar coordination platforms
• Strong commissioning and systems handover experience
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and inspection processes

Nice to Have

• Degree qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• BIM coordination experience
• Safe Pass certification
• Experience working within fast-track construction environments

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and public health installations across the project
• Review drawings, technical specifications, and subcontractor submissions for compliance and buildability
• Manage and track RFIs, technical queries, and design coordination issues
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and site management personnel
• Monitor installation progress and ensure works remain aligned with project milestones
• Support quality inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
• Identify and resolve technical coordination issues before they impact programme delivery
• Ensure all MEP works comply with project specifications and industry standards
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting records
• Promote health and safety compliance across all building services activities

About You

You will come from a mechanical, electrical, or building services background and have experience coordinating MEP packages on large construction projects. You will be comfortable working within a fast-paced site environment and capable of managing multiple stakeholders while maintaining high standards of quality and technical compliance.
