The Role: Mechanical Project Engineer

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from design coordination through to installation, commissioning and handover.

Working closely with project managers, design teams, site personnel and clients, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest technical standards.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer or Project Engineer
• Proven experience required on mechanical engineering or building services projects
• Strong understanding of project delivery, technical documentation and programme management
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams

Preferred Experience

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience with BIM, Revit or AutoCAD beneficial
• Background working with contractors or specialist engineering firms preferred
• Strong client-facing communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from start to completion
• Coordinate technical drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor project progress against programme and project milestones
• Assist with procurement, material tracking and logistics planning
• Support commissioning, testing and project handover activities
• Ensure quality standards and health and safety requirements are maintained
• Prepare progress reports and attend project coordination meetings

About You

You are a Mechanical Project Engineer with strong technical knowledge and a practical understanding of project delivery in a live construction or engineering environment.

You are organised, detail-focused and capable of managing multiple workstreams while maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders. You enjoy being involved in both the technical and delivery aspects of a project and are looking to develop your career with a growing engineering contractor.
