The Role – Tendering Engineer
As a Tendering Engineer, you will play a central role in preparing and delivering competitive bids for water and wastewater projects. You will be responsible for interpreting technical requirements, developing cost-effective engineering solutions, and ensuring all tenders meet commercial, regulatory and client expectations.
This is a technically varied role offering exposure to design, commercial evaluation and project planning, with the opportunity to contribute directly to project wins and future pipeline growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, specifications and client requirements for water and wastewater projects
- Develop technical designs including P&IDs, layouts and equipment selection
- Prepare bills of quantities and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical and ICA elements within tender submissions
- Compile high-quality technical proposals, including HSEQ documentation
- Assess commercial terms, risks and contractual requirements
- Develop project programmes from design through to commissioning
- Liaise with internal design teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
- Support project delivery teams post-award where required
- Prepare engineering reports, method statements and commissioning plans
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience in a tendering, design or project engineering role within M&E or utilities
- Strong understanding of water or wastewater treatment systems is highly desirable
- Commercial awareness with the ability to assess project risks and costs
- Proficient in technical design and engineering documentation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and consultants
- Organised and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative approach with a strong attention to detail and quality
Salary: €50,000 – €70,000 DOE & package
