The Role – Senior Project Planner
As a Senior Project Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of large scale engineering projects, working closely with project managers, commercial teams, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with programme requirements.
You will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining detailed construction schedules while providing clear insight into project performance, risks, and progress. This role also involves mentoring junior planners and contributing to overall planning strategy within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Salary: €80,000 – €100,000 (DOE)

The Role – Senior Project Planner
As a Senior Project Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of large scale engineering projects, working closely with project managers, commercial teams, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with programme requirements.
You will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining detailed construction schedules while providing clear insight into project performance, risks, and progress. This role also involves mentoring junior planners and contributing to overall planning strategy within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide planning support to project managers across all project stages
- Review contract documentation and identify key scheduling requirements
- Develop detailed construction programmes based on project scope and WBS
- Support client programme negotiations and scheduling strategy
- Load programmes with labour and production data in collaboration with commercial teams
- Develop trackers, reporting tools, and integrated project schedules
- Monitor progress, track performance, and report on project efficiency
- Identify risks, delays, and programme constraints and escalate where required
- Facilitate planning and look ahead meetings with project and site teams
- Produce regular progress reports and programme updates
- Maintain and update schedules throughout the project lifecycle
- Support risk management and mitigation planning
- Mentor and guide junior planners within the team
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or similar
- 5 plus years’ experience in project planning within construction or engineering
- Strong experience developing and managing project programmes
- Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Good understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Driven, detail focused, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
Salary: €80,000 – €100,000 (DOE)
