With a substantial pipeline of European data centre projects, they are looking for an experienced Senior M&E Commissioning Manager to join their team on a major data centre development in Helsinki, Finland.
The Role: Senior M&E Commissioning Manager
As Senior M&E Commissioning Manager, you will take responsibility for managing mechanical and electrical commissioning activities across a major data centre project in Helsinki.
Reporting to the Commissioning Lead, you will oversee Commissioning Engineers, coordinate specialist vendors and manage the overall M&E commissioning programme to ensure testing, commissioning and handover milestones are achieved.
The role requires a strong technical understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, with responsibility for programme delivery, commissioning documentation, quality compliance and client coordination.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced M&E Commissioning Manager with a strong mechanical or electrical engineering background and a proven track record delivering commissioning programmes on technically demanding construction projects.
You should have a good understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, particularly within data centre or mission critical environments.
Strong leadership, programme management and client communication skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate multiple commissioning packages and maintain progress through testing, commissioning and final handover.

- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in commissioning leadership roles on data centre or mission critical projects
- Proven experience managing M&E commissioning programmes on large scale construction projects
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, testing procedures and commissioning requirements
- Experience managing Commissioning Engineers, specialist vendors and client stakeholders
- Strong understanding of EHS requirements associated with M&E commissioning activities
- Previous hyperscale data centre commissioning experience
- Experience managing CFCI and OFCI equipment packages
- Knowledge of FAT, FWT, integrated systems testing and commissioning handover procedures
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary commissioning teams across European projects
- Lead and manage Mechanical and Electrical Commissioning Engineers throughout the project
- Develop, monitor and manage the overall M&E commissioning programme and key milestones
- Coordinate commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical and specialist systems
- Manage commissioning requirements for CFCI and OFCI equipment packages
- Plan and coordinate vendor FATs, FWTs and associated testing activities
- Review commissioning procedures, test scripts, compliance statements and technical documentation
- Work closely with Engineering, Construction and QA/QC teams to resolve technical and quality issues
- Monitor commissioning progress, identify programme risks and implement recovery measures
- Lead commissioning meetings with clients, vendors and project stakeholders
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with project specifications, safety requirements and approved procedures
- Manage commissioning documentation, system sign-offs and final handover requirements
- Provide regular commissioning progress reports to the Commissioning Lead
