The Role - Project Manager
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a residential construction project in County Mayo. You will lead the site team, manage subcontractors, drive programme performance, and ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the expected quality standards.
This is a key role for an experienced construction Project Manager who can bring structure, leadership, and clear communication to a live residential development. You will play an important part in keeping works on track, maintaining strong relationships on site, and ensuring the project is delivered to programme and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the day to day delivery of the residential project from groundworks through to completion
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across all site activities
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and direct labour to ensure smooth project delivery
• Drive programme performance and coordinate short term and long term planning
• Monitor quality control and ensure all works are completed to specification
• Chair site meetings and provide clear progress updates to senior management
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Oversee site logistics, sequencing, and resource allocation
• Ensure project records, reports, and documentation are maintained accurately
• Build strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the wider construction team
About You:
• Proven experience as a Project Manager on residential construction projects or large scale housing developments
• Strong background with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK
• Excellent knowledge of construction planning, project sequencing, and site operations
• Strong understanding of health and safety and quality management on site
• Able to lead teams confidently and keep multiple work fronts moving efficiently
• Commercially aware with good reporting and decision making skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage subcontractors and stakeholders professionally
• Highly organised, proactive, and focused on achieving deadlines without compromising quality
• A construction related qualification is desirable
• Experience delivering residential projects from early stage through to handover is a strong advantage
