The Company

This Irish mechanical contractor specialises in delivering mechanical services for fit out and refurbishment projects across Dublin and the wider Leinster region.

Their work covers heating, plumbing, chilled water, ventilation, air conditioning and building management systems, with a strong focus on quality installation and programme delivery. The business is continuing to grow and offers good long term progression for experienced mechanical construction professionals.

The Role: Project Manager

Based in Dublin, Co Dublin, the Project Manager will take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical projects from planning through to completion.

Reporting to a Senior Contracts Manager, you will manage programme, budgets, labour, materials and subcontractors while coordinating closely with site management, engineering, commercial and supply chain teams.

You will be responsible for keeping projects moving, managing risks and ensuring mechanical works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 5+ years’ project management experience within construction, mechanical engineering or building services
• Proven experience required managing project programme, cost, resources and delivery
• Mechanical or engineering construction experience is required
• Relevant Engineering, Construction Management or similar qualification required
• Full clean driving licence required

Preferred Experience

• Mechanical fit out project experience preferred
• Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, chilled water or ventilation packages beneficial
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets
• Experience using project management and construction reporting software

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from planning through installation and completion
• Develop and maintain project programmes, resources and key deliverables
• Manage labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements
• Monitor project budgets, costs and change requirements
• Coordinate with Site Managers, engineering teams and the commercial team
• Lead project meetings and provide clear progress reporting
• Identify programme, commercial and technical risks and implement solutions
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Ensure project documentation, reports and records are kept up to date
• Support junior members of the project team where required

About You

You will have a strong mechanical construction or engineering background with proven experience managing projects in a live site environment.

You should be comfortable dealing with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients while keeping a close eye on programme, quality and cost. Strong organisation, practical problem solving and clear communication will be important in this Project Manager role.
