Job title: Electrical Commissioning Manager – Data Centre / Mission Critical Projects

This established M&E contractor has over 40 years’ experience delivering complex mechanical and electrical projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.
They work across data centres, mission critical, pharmaceutical, industrial and large-scale commercial projects, with a strong pipeline of work in Germany and across Europe.
The Role: Electrical Commissioning Manager
Based in Frankfurt, Germany, you will lead the electrical commissioning of a large-scale project from pre-commissioning and energisation through Integrated Systems Testing, handover and close-out.
You will coordinate closely with project, construction, QA/QC and design teams, specialist subcontractors and vendors to ensure electrical systems are commissioned safely and in line with programme.
Rotation can be discussed, with the standard arrangement operating on a 17/4 basis.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager with strong technical knowledge of complex electrical systems and a proven ability to take projects through energisation, testing and final handover.
You will be comfortable leading commissioning teams, resolving technical issues and coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and specialist vendors in a demanding project environment.

- Must have proven experience managing electrical commissioning on large-scale construction projects
- Strong technical knowledge of HV, MV and LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems and generators is required
- Hands-on experience required across energisation, testing, commissioning and project handover
- Experience leading commissioning teams, specialist subcontractors and vendors is required
- Data centre or mission critical project experience preferred
- Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience beneficial
- AP or SAP qualification beneficial
- Integrated Systems Testing and energisation planning experience preferred
- Lead electrical commissioning from pre-commissioning through energisation, IST and final handover
- Develop and manage project commissioning plans, programmes and procedures
- Oversee testing of HV, MV and LV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators and electrical controls
- Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, QA/QC, design teams, subcontractors and specialist vendors
- Review commissioning procedures, RAMS, switching schedules and test scripts
- Monitor commissioning progress and ensure key programme milestones are achieved
- Manage commissioning records, snagging, certification and turnover documentation
- Coordinate witness testing, final acceptance and client handover
