The Role – Mechanical Project Manager
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the mechanical package on a major data centre project. You will lead site delivery from early pre construction through to commissioning and final handover, ensuring programme, quality and commercial targets are achieved.
This is a senior leadership role where you will drive coordination, manage large site teams and maintain full control over mechanical works on a fast paced, high value project.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all mechanical construction activities on site ensuring safe and efficient delivery
- Manage programme, sequencing and short term planning to maintain project milestones
- Oversee subcontractors, site teams and supervisors ensuring productivity and quality standards
- Coordinate closely with design teams to ensure buildability and technical compliance
- Maintain strict control of project costs, variations and commercial reporting
- Drive weekly progress reporting and contribute to senior management updates
- Chair coordination and progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure all works meet the highest standards of quality, commissioning and handover
- Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture across all site activities
- Proven background as a Mechanical Project Manager within M&E or mechanical contracting
- Minimum 10 years experience delivering large scale mechanical packages
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, pipework, plant rooms and mechanical services
- Experience managing complex construction programmes on data centres or mission critical projects
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing variations and cost control
- Confident communicator capable of managing clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Highly organised with a focus on quality, deadlines and project delivery
