Mechanical Package Manager Skills
- The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven project management experience on large-scale projects is essential, ideally within data centre, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments.
- You will have a strong track record in coordinating complex mechanical systems projects, with experience in design and build environments, industrial relations, and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office and mechanical software, and strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills are essential.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and drive team performance effectively is critical.
- You will manage the full mechanical systems package from design coordination to installation, testing, and commissioning.
- You will oversee site safety, maintain a strong QHSE culture, and manage subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
- You will be responsible for project schedules, resources, and all associated costs, including labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, variations, and valuations.
- Maintaining snagging systems, documentation, photographic records, and producing internal and external progress reports will be a key part of your role.
- You will attend site meetings, reviews, and handovers, supporting project close-out including O&M manuals, punch lists, QA, and safety files. Scheduling and tracking material deliveries, coordinating change management for cost and programme impacts, and holding weekly commercial meetings to capture variations and issue costs to the client will also form part of your responsibilities.
- You will develop and implement company procedures in coordination with other package managers and perform any other duties required to ensure successful delivery of the mechanical package.
