Mechanical Commissioning Engineer Skills:
- Hands-on mechanical commissioning experience across HVAC and building services systems
- Strong understanding of system testing, fault finding, and functional performance testing
- Experience commissioning mechanical systems on commercial, industrial, or data centre projects
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, commissioning plans, and design intent
- Familiarity with commissioning documentation, tagging, test sheets, and sign-off procedures
- Strong awareness of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements
- Confident working with vendors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary site teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Clear communicator, comfortable working in fast-paced site environments
- Carry out hands-on commissioning of mechanical and HVAC systems in line with approved plans
- Execute testing, diagnostics, and functional checks to confirm systems meet design intent
- Support and witness vendor commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements
- Carry out system readiness checks, inspections, and walkdowns prior to testing
- Manage commissioning tagging and track system status through to completion
- Review commissioning documentation and support system sign-off and handover
- Coordinate daily commissioning activities with the Cx Manager and wider project team
- Ensure commissioning activities align with programme milestones and site priorities
- Maintain strict compliance with HSEQ standards at all times on site
