We are seeking an experienced Senior SHESQ Advisor to join a major renewable energy project in Co. Cork, supporting the delivery of a large-scale solar farm development.

This role sits within a well-established engineering and construction contractor operating across the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors in Ireland and internationally.

As Senior SHESQ Advisor, you will play a key role in driving safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality performance on site. You will work closely with site management, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure works are delivered in full compliance with legislation, standards, and best practice, while actively promoting a strong safety culture.

This is a full-time site-based position offering long-term career development and exposure to high-profile renewable energy infrastructure projects.

Senior SHESQ Advisor Skills:
  • Higher Diploma in Health & Safety (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a SHESQ / HSEQ role on civils, energy, or renewables projects
  • Solar farm or renewable energy construction experience advantageous
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence site teams
  • Strong IT skills with high attention to detail
  • Proactive, flexible approach with demonstrated leadership capability
As a Senior SHESQ Advisor:
  • Assist in maintaining Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems in line with ISO standard
  • Deliver site inductions and ongoing safety briefings
  • Produce monthly SHESQ statistics and reports
  • Champion behaviour-based safety and cultural improvement programmes
  • Carry out and document site audits and inspections
  • Stay up to date with changes in health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Ensure all site personnel hold required training and certification
  • Investigate, log, and monitor incidents and non-conformances
  • Identify significant safety and environmental risks and implement appropriate controls
  • Maintain accurate and accessible SHESQ records
  • Prepare and present toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings
  • Review subcontractor SHESQ documentation and compliance
The Package: Salary €65,000 – €85,000 DOE plus benefits, pension, healthcare allowance, bonus, and long-term career progression on renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
