This is an opportunity to join a long established engineering services contractor with over a century of delivering complex mechanical and electrical projects across Ireland and Europe. The Role Electrical Engineer
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of large scale pharma and industrial construction projects in Cork. Working closely with the Project Manager and multidisciplinary MEP teams, you will ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
This position offers exposure to technically challenging projects and provides a clear pathway towards Chartered Engineer status. You will be involved from design review through to commissioning, gaining valuable site based project engineering experience within a leading electrical contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Project Manager in delivering electrical packages on time and within budget
• Review electrical schematics, GA drawings and technical specifications
• Analyse supplier submittals to ensure compliance with project design requirements
• Manage technical submittals, RFIs, equipment registers and tracking systems
• Identify scope gaps and coordinate design queries with consultants and subcontractors
• Monitor site quality through system walkdowns and inspections
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards on site
• Liaise with subcontractors, vendors and client representatives
• Contribute to programme planning and progress reporting
About You
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum four years experience in electrical engineering within construction
• Background in pharma, industrial or large scale commercial projects
• Electrical trade background beneficial
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, design documentation and site coordination
• Experience with Microsoft Office essential, knowledge of Revit and Trimble advantageous
• Organised, detail focused and capable of managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a high performing project team
• Ambitious and motivated to progress towards Chartered Engineer status
