The Role – Commercial Manager
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Commercial Manager will take full ownership of the company’s commercial function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving financial performance, overseeing contract strategy, and ensuring strong commercial governance across all projects and business units.
You will play a key role in shaping business strategy, improving margins, managing risk, and leading a high performing commercial and estimating team. The position offers real influence at board level and a clear pathway toward senior leadership within a growing organisation.

Salary: €100,000 – €120,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement commercial strategy aligned with long term business growth
- Oversee tendering, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation across all divisions
- Drive margin improvement, revenue growth, and cost control initiatives
- Manage commercial governance, risk management, and compliance processes
- Provide commercial insight and reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Lead continuous improvement across estimating systems and digital processes
- Identify new markets, partnerships, and business development opportunities
- Maintain oversight of forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance
- Support project teams with contract delivery, procurement, and cost management
- Build, mentor, and develop a high performing commercial and estimating team
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 15 plus years’ experience within construction, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
- Proven track record in a senior commercial leadership role
- Strong background in contract negotiation, pricing, and financial management
- Experience managing large scale public works or NEC contracts
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high performing teams
- Strategic mindset with strong commercial and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and leadership ability across multiple stakeholders
- Driven, results focused, and committed to delivering long term business value
Salary: €100,000 – €120,000 (DOE)
