We are seeking an Experienced Technical Support Engineer to join a growing technical team based primarily in Dublin. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical or controls background who enjoys problem-solving, supporting engineering teams, and working directly with customers across Ireland.

You’ll act as a product and systems expert, providing hands-on and remote support to sales, projects, and service teams, as well as end users on site.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 5 years' experience in BMS, automation, or electro-mechanical controls who wants to step into a technically varied, client-facing role with plenty of autonomy and long-term career potential.

Technical Support Engineer Skills:

  • Electrical trade background with a controls bias — panel building, BMS, or automation experience.
  • Third-level qualification in Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in BMS programming, automation, or electro-mechanical controls roles.
  • Strong experience installing, configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting controllers and software.
  • Experience integrating and commissioning HVAC primary plant is a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience providing technical support is highly beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems — AHUs, chillers/heat pumps, hydronic systems, pumps, VAVs, FCUs, motors, VSDs, etc.
  • Knowledge of DDCs, I/O, sensors, IP networking, BACnet, Modbus, and control system architecture.
  • Excellent IT skills: Microsoft Office, networking tools, scanning software (AutoCAD a bonus).
  • Strong communication and reporting skills, able to manage pressure and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Organised, proactive, with excellent time management and customer-facing skills.
As a Technical Support Engineer:

  • Act as the in-house technical expert across controls, software, hardware, DDC, and BMS integration.
  • Provide day-to-day support to internal teams across sales, projects, and service.
  • Deliver technical support to customers both on site across Ireland and remotely via Teams, TeamViewer, and phone.
  • Support installation, commissioning, integration, and handover of HVAC and packaged equipment.
  • Liaise with product managers and global support teams for escalation and product updates.
  • Maintain and distribute technical documentation, updates, and notices to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Promote knowledge sharing by delivering internal training, workshops, and technical sessions.
  • Attend factory training when required (UK, Europe, Scandinavia).
The Package:
Salary for this position is €50,000 – €60,000, depending on experience, with a strong benefits package including company car or car allowance, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, life assurance, internal training and more.
