Overview:
An opportunity for a Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a €multi-million civil infrastructure project in Co. Wexford.
This is a substantial engineering project with a broad scope of works across road construction, earthworks, drainage, utilities, pavement works, structures and associated infrastructure, giving you the opportunity to develop experience across multiple areas of heavy civils.
You’ll be joining one of Europe’s largest construction Main Contractors, with a strong track record across some of Ireland and Britain’s most significant infrastructure projects and the resources, systems and technical expertise that come with a Tier 1 Contractor.
Engineers are encouraged to continue developing technically while taking on increasing responsibility, with structured learning & development opportunities and clear scope to progress through Senior Engineer, Site Agent and Project Management positions.
You’ll work closely with an experienced site team, taking responsibility for setting out, quality control, technical coordination and day-to-day engineering activities while gaining exposure to the delivery of a complex infrastructure project from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set out works accurately and ensure foremen, operatives and subcontractors have the correct engineering information to carry out works.
- Interpret drawings, specifications and technical information and communicate requirements clearly to the wider site team.
- Carry out quality inspections across the works, including checks relating to reinforcement, concrete placement, levels, materials and completed works.
- Work closely with the Senior Engineer, Site Agent and wider project team to identify and resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience working as a Site Engineer in Ireland.
- Previous civil engineering experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong setting out skills with experience using Total Station and GPS.
