Overview:
Opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to join an Irish Main Contractor on a €15m residential development in County Galway.
The project will deliver 50+ new homes and includes a strong mix of housing and apartment construction, alongside extensive external works, drainage, utilities and landscaping.
You’ll be joining a growing contractor with an excellent reputation across the West of Ireland and a strong portfolio spanning residential, commercial, educational and civil engineering projects.
The company has built its reputation around quality, innovation and delivering projects to a high standard, with a particularly strong track record in residential construction.
There is a genuine collaborative approach to delivering projects, with engineers working closely alongside site management, design teams and subcontractors rather than just setting out.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out setting out and surveying for housing, drainage, services, roads and associated external works.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Liaise closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, design team and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate subcontractors and monitor works to ensure quality, programme and safety standards are maintained.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of Site Engineering experience with a Main Contractor/Developer in Ireland.
- Strong setting out skills with experience using Total Station/GPS equipment.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, quality control, drainage and site services.
