Job title: Service Engineer – Chillers and Applied HVAC
Location: Cork City, Co Cork
Company: Specialist HVAC and Building Services Contractor
Package: Up to €75,000 DOE plus company van, healthcare, pension, bonus, phone and tablet
The Company
This specialist HVAC and building services contractor delivers technical service, maintenance, controls and energy solutions across commercial, industrial and mission critical environments throughout Ireland.
With a strong presence in Cork and across Munster, the business works with major clients in data centres, pharmaceutical facilities, commercial buildings and other technically demanding environments. They have an experienced technical services team in place and provide ongoing manufacturer and specialist training for their engineers.
The Role: Service Engineer – Chillers and Applied HVAC
Based from Cork City, Co Cork, this Service Engineer role will involve servicing, maintaining, fault finding and carrying out remedial works on commercial chillers, heat pumps and applied HVAC equipment across Munster.
You will work across commercial, industrial and mission critical sites, dealing with chilled water, heating water, ventilation and specialist cooling systems.
The position offers plenty of autonomy on site, while still having direct technical support from the Technical Services Manager when required.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced HVAC Service Engineer, Chiller Engineer or Refrigeration Engineer with a strong technical background in commercial HVAC-R equipment.
You should be comfortable working independently on customer sites, diagnosing mechanical, electrical and controls faults and getting to the root of plant issues rather than simply replacing components.
Experience working on chillers, heat pumps and critical cooling equipment will be particularly relevant. You will also need to communicate clearly with clients and provide accurate technical reporting following service and remedial works.
What’s on Offer
Salary: Up to €75,000 DOE
Benefits:
This is a strong position for an experienced Service Engineer who wants to specialise further in commercial chillers, heat pumps and applied HVAC systems while working on technically challenging sites.
You will have the backing of an experienced technical services team rather than being left unsupported in the field. There is also good scope for further manufacturer training and technical development as you build experience across chillers, controls and mission critical cooling systems.
