The Role – Senior Project Engineer
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will take ownership of planning, coordination and technical delivery on site. Working closely with construction management, commercial teams and subcontractors, you will ensure all mechanical and process works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
This role plays a key part in bridging design, fabrication and site execution, ensuring a smooth flow of information, materials and documentation through to final handover.

The Role – Senior Project Engineer
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will take ownership of planning, coordination and technical delivery on site. Working closely with construction management, commercial teams and subcontractors, you will ensure all mechanical and process works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
This role plays a key part in bridging design, fabrication and site execution, ensuring a smooth flow of information, materials and documentation through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee health and safety compliance across all site activities, ensuring safe systems of work are implemented
- Prepare and review RAMS and method statements in line with project requirements
- Manage RFIs, technical queries and design clarifications with consultants and design teams
- Coordinate prefabrication activities with workshops, ensuring alignment with site programme
- Develop scopes of work for subcontract packages including HVAC, insulation, scaffolding and specialist installations
- Support programme delivery through daily coordination with site supervisors and subcontractors
- Monitor quality on site, ensuring installations meet specification and QA requirements
- Track labour hours, manage dayworks and support cost control alongside commercial teams
- Attend client, subcontractor and internal coordination meetings
- Manage material procurement, deliveries and site logistics
- Coordinate QA QC inspections, testing and commissioning activities
- Drive snagging, close out and final handover documentation to client teams
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering or similar
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a project or site engineering role
- Strong background in mechanical process installations, piping systems and industrial projects
- Proven experience managing technical queries, RFIs and constructability reviews
- Commercial awareness with experience supporting variations and cost control
- Familiar with QA QC processes, inspections and testing requirements
- Experience using Navisworks or similar coordination tools is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear communicator with the ability to engage with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
- Driven, detail focused and committed to delivering projects safely and to a high standard
