The Role Senior Mechanical Engineer
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical packages from early design coordination through to installation, testing and commissioning. This is a site based role where your input will directly influence programme delivery, quality standards and overall project success.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure all mechanical systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications.

The Role Senior Mechanical Engineer
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical packages from early design coordination through to installation, testing and commissioning. This is a site based role where your input will directly influence programme delivery, quality standards and overall project success.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure all mechanical systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical systems from design coordination through to commissioning and handover
- Review drawings, specifications and technical submittals to ensure buildability and compliance
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams across all project phases
- Monitor site installation works to ensure quality, safety and programme targets are achieved
- Support project planning, progress tracking and risk identification
- Assist with subcontractor management including performance, manpower and scheduling
- Ensure all mechanical activities comply with QHSE standards and project requirements
- Prepare technical reports, documentation and progress updates for stakeholders
- Liaise with clients and design teams to ensure expectations and technical standards are met
- Develop and manage commissioning plans in line with overall project delivery strategy
- Support testing, snagging, commissioning and final handover documentation
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Mechanical Engineer role on large scale construction projects
- Strong background in mechanical systems within design and build environments
- Experience across installation, testing and commissioning phases
- Data centre project experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of construction health and safety regulations
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Detail focused with strong organisational ability
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high performance site environment
Salary: €80,000 to €100,000 DOE
