The Role – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design delivery across complex building services projects
- Ensure all designs meet client specifications, design criteria and industry standards
- Manage small to medium projects and support larger project delivery
- Produce and review drawings, calculations, schedules and technical specifications
- Coordinate with electrical, architectural and structural teams
- Carry out design reviews and ensure quality control throughout the design process
- Attend and lead technical meetings with clients, consultants and contractors
- Conduct site inspections to ensure design intent is achieved during construction
- Support commissioning strategy and system performance requirements
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and reporting
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical design engineering
- Strong background in HVAC and mechanical building services systems
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and engineering calculation software
- Strong understanding of design standards and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Detail focused with a strong commitment to quality and delivery
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
