The Company
This well established Irish main contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high quality civil and infrastructure projects across Leinster. With a busy project pipeline and continued growth planned over the coming years, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their head office team in Naas.

The Role – Senior / Managing Quantity Surveyor
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will take commercial responsibility across multiple construction projects while working closely with the senior management team. This is a key appointment for the business and would suit someone with strong main contractor experience who is comfortable managing costs, contracts, reporting, procurement, and client relationships across a range of developments.
The role offers excellent exposure to company operations and strategic growth, making it an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to progress into senior management level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Commercial management of multiple construction projects from preconstruction through to final account
• Preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, valuations, and cost reports
• Contract administration and subcontractor management
• Procurement of subcontract packages and negotiation of agreements
• Monitor project costs, variations, and financial performance
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial targets are achieved
• Attend site visits and client meetings as required
• Support senior leadership with commercial strategy and business planning
• Ensure accurate reporting and commercial documentation across all projects
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
About You:
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
• 7 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or developer
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent reporting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Comfortable working between head office and site environments
• Ambitious and career driven with an interest in progressing into senior management
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Ability to work independently and as part of a senior commercial team
