This established Irish building services consultancy has earned a strong reputation for delivering innovative mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and mixed-use developments throughout Ireland.
Due to continued growth and a healthy project pipeline, they are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Bray, Co Wicklow. This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within a collaborative consultancy that places sustainability, energy efficiency and quality design at the heart of everything they do.
The Role: Senior Electrical Engineer
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take the lead on the electrical design and delivery of a diverse range of building services projects from initial concept through to construction and completion. You will work closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget and to the highest technical standards.
This office-based position is located in Bray, Co Wicklow, with the opportunity to work remotely 1 to 2 days per week following an initial settling-in period. Candidates based in Wicklow, Dublin and Wexford are encouraged to apply.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in Building Services or MEP consultancy. You have successfully led electrical design projects and enjoy working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
You are organised, technically strong and confident managing multiple projects while maintaining excellent communication with clients and colleagues. You also enjoy mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Must have 5+ years' experience in Electrical Building Services or MEP design in Ireland
- Proven experience leading electrical design projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
- Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, ETCI standards and relevant electrical design codes
- Applicants must currently be based in Ireland and legally entitled to work in Ireland
- Chartered Engineer status or currently working towards chartership
- Experience delivering commercial, residential, healthcare or education projects
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Amtech or similar electrical design software
- Experience mentoring graduate and intermediate engineers
- Lead electrical building services design on multiple projects
- Prepare design calculations, technical reports and specifications
- Design and review LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm and power systems
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and wider MEP design teams
- Manage project programmes, budgets and technical delivery
- Attend client, contractor and design team meetings
- Mentor and support junior electrical engineers
- Ensure all designs comply with current regulations, industry standards and client requirements
- Promote sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions across all projects
