Essential:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5–7 years’ post-graduate experience in Building Services Design (consultancy environment preferred).
- Proven track record in delivering medium to large-scale MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of Irish and UK building regulations, CIBSE standards, and sustainability practices.
- Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and design tools (Hevacomp, IES, etc.).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status with Engineers Ireland.
- Strong leadership, organisation, and client-facing skills.
- Experience in leading a design team or managing project delivery independently.
- Working knowledge of BIM Level 2 processes.
- Understanding of LEED, BREEAM, or other sustainability frameworks.
- Experience in mentoring or developing junior staff.
- Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of building services projects from concept to completion.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams including architects, structural engineers, and contractors.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and client meetings.
- Ensure designs comply with building regulations, sustainability targets, and client requirements.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and CAD/Revit technicians.
- Liaise with clients to provide technical guidance and build long-term relationships.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal design standards and processes.
