Overview:
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join an Irish Civil Engineering Contractor delivering major groundworks packages across large scale residential developments in South Dublin.
The company has been operating for close to 30 years and has built a strong reputation across civil engineering, groundworks, drainage, utilities, roads and associated site development works.
You’ll be joining a contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Dublin and the surrounding counties, working on substantial residential developments where the civil engineering and groundworks packages form a major part of the overall construction programme.
This is a senior, hands on engineering position where you’ll take ownership of the engineering function across various projects while overseeing and supporting a team of up to three Site Engineers.
You’ll coordinate setting out, quality, technical queries, drainage, utilities, roads and other groundworks while working closely with Project Managers and subcontractors to keep works progressing safely and efficiently.
The position would particularly suit an experienced Senior Engineer who enjoys being close to the day to day delivery of projects but is ready to take on more responsibility for managing engineers, planning works and driving the engineering side of major civil packages.
There is a genuine opportunity to establish yourself as a senior member of the team and continue progressing towards Project Management as the business and its workload continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for engineering and setting out across large scale groundworks packages on residential developments.
- Manage, support and coordinate a team of up to three Site Engineers, ensuring engineering activities are planned effectively across the site.
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying and resolving engineering issues before they impact programme.
- Work closely with Project Managers and senior management to plan upcoming works, resources and sequencing.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience working as a Site Engineer / Senior Engineer in Ireland.
- Strong background in civil engineering, groundworks and site development works.
- Confident in mentoring other members of an engineering team.
The Package:
