Senior Building Services Engineer – Residential Projects (Greater Dublin Area)

We are seeking a Senior Building Services Engineer to support the management and delivery of mechanical and electrical services on large-scale, high-density residential developments across the Greater Dublin region.

Reporting into the Building Services leadership team, you will play a key role in overseeing M&E design coordination, site installation quality, subcontractor performance and final commissioning through to handover.

This role suits an experienced building services professional with strong site presence, leadership capability and a keen interest in modern residential building services and energy-efficient systems.

• Further education qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum 4 years’ post-qualification experience in a building services engineering or M&E management role
• Strong experience delivering mechanical and electrical systems on residential or mixed-use developments
• Solid understanding of M&E installation, commissioning and handover processes
• Experience coordinating M&E interfaces with architectural and structural elements
• Strong leadership and mentoring capability with experience supporting junior team members
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Organised, self-motivated and capable of working independently across multiple sites
• Strong focus on programme delivery, quality standards and deadlines
• Interest in energy management, sustainability and emerging residential building services technologies
• Full clean Irish driving licence and willingness to travel between sites

As a Senior Building Services Engineer:

• Manage and monitor the quality and progress of M&E installations on residential projects from coordination through commissioning and handover
• Provide technical guidance and direction to other building services team members, promoting a consistent approach across projects
• Support site construction management teams in coordinating on-site M&E works and resolving technical issues
• Coordinate with design teams to manage M&E interfaces with architectural and structural elements
• Oversee M&E subcontractors on site, ensuring quality, safety and programme requirements are met
• Ensure building services procedures and standards are consistently implemented across all sites
• Liaise with public utility providers, local authorities and design teams to coordinate electricity, gas, water, public lighting and telecoms connections
• Contribute to value engineering and innovation initiatives to improve building services solutions
• Assist with the ongoing development and updating of M&E procedures and technical documentation
• Oversee the management of temporary electrical and water services on construction sites

The Package: Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €75,000 plus package.
