The Company

This Irish residential developer has a strong track record delivering large scale housing and apartment developments across Dublin, with a significant pipeline of work in South Dublin.

They are currently delivering a major residential scheme in South Dublin comprising houses, apartments and duplex style units, with approximately three years of construction work remaining. This gives the successful Quantity Surveyor good project continuity and the opportunity to see a substantial residential development through multiple phases.


The Role: Quantity Surveyor

This Quantity Surveyor role is based on a large residential development in South Dublin, Co Dublin, working as part of an experienced commercial and project team.

You will take responsibility for subcontract packages, procurement, valuations, variations and cost reporting while working closely with the site team to keep commercial performance aligned with programme delivery.

The position would suit a Quantity Surveyor with 4 to 5 years' experience who wants to build their career on a substantial residential project with a developer offering a strong pipeline of work across Dublin.


Must Have Requirements
  • Must have 4 to 5 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Proven construction experience with a main contractor or residential developer is required
  • Strong experience in subcontractor procurement, valuations and cost management
  • Good working knowledge of construction contracts and commercial reporting

Preferred Experience

  • Residential construction experience preferred
  • Experience across apartments, houses or mixed residential schemes beneficial
  • Previous experience working on large multi phase developments advantageous

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement and commercial administration of subcontractor packages
  • Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and forecasts throughout the project
  • Manage subcontractor accounts from appointment through to final account
  • Monitor project costs against budget and identify commercial risks at an early stage
  • Work closely with the site and project teams to track progress, programme and expenditure
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and support the wider commercial team with project reporting

About You


You will have around 4 to 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience and a solid understanding of the commercial side of building projects.

You should be comfortable dealing directly with subcontractors, reviewing costs and variations and working closely with site management. Experience on residential developments would be particularly relevant given the scale and mix of the South Dublin scheme.
