Overview:
Excellent opportunity for a QA Engineer to join a highly regarded Irish Main Contractor on a major education development in Co. Wicklow.
This is an ideal role for a Graduate Engineer or Junior Engineer who wants to develop specifically within quality assurance, working alongside an experienced construction team on a large scale project from an early stage through to completion.
You’ll be joining an established Irish Main Contractor with 30+ years of experience and an excellent reputation for delivering high quality projects across the education, healthcare, residential, commercial and sports sectors.
There is a genuine emphasis on quality throughout the business, with QA integrated into day to day project delivery rather than treated simply as a paperwork exercise.
You’ll gain hands on experience working with site management, engineers, subcontractors and design teams, giving you an excellent grounding in how a major construction project is delivered and handed over to the required standard.
The company is also known for its collaborative approach and places a strong emphasis on developing long term relationships with its employees, clients, design teams and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems
- Carry out regular quality inspections of works and ensure construction is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and required standards
- Maintain QA documentation including inspection records, checklists, test plans and material records
- Work closely with Site Engineers, Site Managers and subcontractors to identify and resolve quality issues
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- At least a placement experience within the Irish construction industry
- Previous exposure to QA/QC, Site Engineering or construction site operations
- Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to documentation
The Package:
- €40,000 – €50,000 salary depending on experience
- Company vehicle and fuel card
