Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 DOE plus benefits

This Tier 1 Mechanical and Electrical Contractor is a leading provider of engineering services across power transmission, renewables, data centres, and industrial sectors. Operating throughout the UK and Europe, they deliver high value, technically complex projects for major international clients.

The Role – Project Manager
As a Project Manager within the power and renewables division, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of HV and MV electrical projects from initial handover through to commissioning and final completion.

You will lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure all works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of project performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle delivery of high voltage electrical projects from mobilisation to completion
• Develop project execution plans including procurement strategy, construction programme, and resource planning
• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships
• Oversee project budgets, cost control, and commercial performance in collaboration with the QS team
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and programme delivery
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes
• Chair project and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors
• Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover of all systems
• Manage project close out including final accounts, documentation, and reporting

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or strong trade background with relevant experience
• Proven experience managing HV or MV electrical projects within the power or renewables sector
• Strong background in substations, transmission, or distribution projects
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams on large scale construction projects
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with client facing experience
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in project reporting, scheduling, and documentation
• Willingness to travel across the UK as required
