The Company

This Irish main contractor delivers building projects across Ireland, with experience across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and public sector construction.

The business has a strong pipeline of work across Monaghan, Louth and the Greater Dublin area, with continued work across public sector and residential construction.

They are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for a €40+ million major building project in Co Monaghan, with further long-term work available across the wider region.

The Role: Project Manager

As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of a major building project in Co Monaghan.

You will manage the site team and subcontractors while maintaining control of programme, quality, health and safety and overall project delivery.

Working closely with senior management, the commercial team, design team and client representatives, you will be responsible for keeping the project progressing efficiently through construction and handover.

This is intended as a long-term Project Manager position, with further work available across residential developments in Louth and the Greater Dublin area.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have proven experience as a Project Manager or experienced Senior Site Manager delivering building projects
• Main contractor experience is required
• Proven experience managing subcontractors, programme, quality and site delivery
• Must have experience taking responsibility for a project through construction and handover

Preferred Experience

• Commercial, public sector or office construction experience preferred
• Residential construction experience would be beneficial for future projects
• Previous experience delivering projects in Ireland or Northern Ireland preferred
• Strong understanding of programme management and subcontractor coordination

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the Monaghan construction project
• Manage the site management team, subcontractors and day-to-day construction activities
• Drive the construction programme and ensure key milestones are achieved
• Coordinate with the design and commercial teams on technical and project matters
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site
• Monitor quality and ensure works are completed in line with drawings and specifications
• Chair and attend project, subcontractor and progress meetings as required
• Maintain clear reporting to senior management on programme, resources and site progress
• Manage client and consultant relationships throughout delivery and handover

About You

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a strong main contractor background and a track record of delivering € multi-million building projects through to completion.

You should be comfortable managing site teams and subcontractors while maintaining control of programme, quality, safety and technical coordination.

Strong communication and organisation will be important, particularly when dealing with consultants, the commercial team and senior management.

The contractor is looking for someone interested in a long-term position who can work across Monaghan, Louth and North Dublin as the project pipeline develops.
