The Company
This Irish engineering consultancy delivers data centre, energy and mission critical infrastructure projects across Ireland and international markets.
They are expanding their Power Systems team in Dublin and are looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience in ETAP or similar power system modelling software.
The Role: Power Systems Engineer
You will work on the design and analysis of resilient HV, MV and LV electrical networks for large scale data centre projects.
A key part of the role will be developing ETAP models and carrying out power system studies to support electrical design from concept through commissioning.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an Electrical or Power Systems Engineer with experience in electrical network modelling and a strong interest in critical power infrastructure.
Data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or industrial project experience would be beneficial. ETAP certification or progress towards Chartership would also be advantageous.

Must Have Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or related discipline
- 1+ years’ electrical or power systems engineering experience
- Experience using ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SKM or similar software
- Good understanding of HV, MV and LV electrical distribution systems
- Develop and maintain ETAP power system models
- Carry out load flow and IEC 60909 short circuit studies
- Complete protection coordination, selectivity and arc flash studies
- Support HV, MV and LV electrical network design
- Review transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS and critical power systems
- Produce single line diagrams, calculations and technical reports
- Support FAT, SAT, energisation and commissioning activities
- Coordinate with electrical, BIM and commissioning teams
You will be an Electrical or Power Systems Engineer with experience in electrical network modelling and a strong interest in critical power infrastructure.
