MEP Contracts Manager

Your new company are a leading Irish main contractor operating across sectors including data centres, pharmaceuticals, industrial, healthcare, commercial, residential and infrastructure.

They are seeking an experienced MEP Contracts Manager to join their team in Dublin and take overall responsibility for the mechanical, electrical and public-services elements of our projects.

MEP Contracts Manager Skills:

• Third level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services or equivalent.
• Significant experience (ideally 8-15+ years) managing MEP services delivery for a main contractor on mid-to-large scale projects (industrial, data centre, pharma, commercial) in Ireland.
• Strong contract, commercial and cost control acumen: familiar with subcontract conditions, change control, risk profiling, cost forecasting and claims.
• Excellent knowledge of MEP systems, installation and commissioning processes; able to interpret design drawings, specification and BIM/MEP information.
• Proven leadership of MEP delivery teams and subcontractors, with ability to drive performance, motivate teams and resolve conflicts.
• Strong project management skills: ability to coordinate across disciplines, control programme, anticipate issues and implement tactical corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: able to engage with clients, consultants, supply-chain and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office, project controls tools, and ideally experience with Revit/BIM for MEP coordination.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental standards and track record of achieving them.
• Self-motivated, organised, resilient and prepared to operate within a fast-moving, demanding construction environment.

As a MEP Contracts Manager:

• Lead the delivery of MEP services packages on assigned projects from pre-construction through to handover: design coordination, procurement, installation, commissioning, and close-out.
• Manage contract documentation, review and negotiate MEP subcontractor/ supplier agreements, monitor compliance, claim management and contract change control.
• Interface with the design team, project management team, site teams, and MEP subcontractors to ensure timely flow of information and alignment of work-streams.
• Monitor and control cost, programme and risk for MEP works – prepare forecasts, track actuals, escalate variances and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure delivery of MEP works in accordance with agreed Quality Plans, HSE requirements and company / client standards.
• Provide leadership to the MEP delivery team: site MEP managers, engineers, subcontractors; foster continuous improvement in processes and team performance.
• Champion a culture of “Work Safe, Home Safe” – ensuring safe working practices on site, scaffolded around our projects and supply chain.
• Review installation progress, drive programmes, monitor subcontractor productivity and remediate performance issues.
• Oversee commissioning, testing and handover of MEP services, verifying that all systems meet design intent, client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Support senior management in submissions, valuations, project close-out, snagging and client sign-off.
• Actively contribute to procurement, tendering and planning phases to ensure MEP deliverables are properly scoped, scheduled and procured.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €120,000 plus package to and more.
