MEICA Project Manager Skills:
- Degree qualified (Level 8 Honours) in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
- 5 years’ experience, ideally within the water and wastewater sector
- Strong background in MEICA works including mechanical installation, electrical systems, control panels, instrumentation, and commissioning
- In-depth knowledge of Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013
- Experience working under NEC4 contractual arrangements
- Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical systems, automation, and control technologies used in water treatment processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Trimble Pro-Design (advantageous, not essential)
- Strong commercial awareness including cashflow and interim payment applications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
- Deliver one or more MEICA-led infrastructure projects simultaneously
- Lead and coordinate MEICA construction activities on live sites
- Work closely with civil, building, and process engineering teams to ensure integrated delivery
- Ensure full compliance with HSQE, environmental, and sustainability requirements
- Act as PSCS on assigned projects and coordinate all required site documentation
- Support the coordination role of the PSDP with internal and external designers
- Liaise with clients, client representatives, and third-party stakeholders
- Monitor project performance, identifying risks and opportunities and implementing mitigation measures
- Report monthly on programme, budget, risk, and HSQE performance
- Manage project cashflow and support timely submission of interim payment applications
- Assist with tendering and pre-construction activities for upcoming works
- Support successful handover from construction through to commissioning and completion
