The Role – Mechanical Site Supervisor
As a Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will oversee the day to day delivery of mechanical services installation on live construction projects while remaining hands on when required. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to specification.
This is a working supervisor role suited to a qualified plumber or mechanical trades professional with experience managing teams across commercial and residential construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising mechanical installation works across commercial and residential developments
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and site layouts using construction management software
- Leading mechanical operatives, subcontractors and apprentices on site
- Coordinating daily activities with project managers, site management and main contractors
- Identifying and escalating site issues, delays and RFIs when required
- Ensuring all works are completed to quality assurance standards and project specifications
- Assisting with testing, commissioning and project handover processes
- Maintaining accurate site records, progress reports and health and safety documentation
- Carrying out site inspections and ensuring compliance with company safety procedures
- Managing materials, deliveries and site logistics alongside procurement teams
- Reporting incidents, hazards and near misses in line with company policy
- Qualified plumber or mechanical trades background
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor or Mechanical Working Supervisor
- Strong understanding of mechanical services installation and site coordination
- Experience managing mechanical operatives and subcontractors on live construction projects
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work to tight construction programmes and deliver high quality work
- Good IT and construction software knowledge
- Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
- Valid and up to date site safety certifications
Salary: €60,000 – €65,000 DOE
