The Role – Mechanical Engineer
This is a site-based Mechanical Engineer role supporting the delivery of mechanical building services projects from early-stage coordination through to commissioning and handover. You will play a key role in ensuring quality, compliance and programme targets are met while working closely with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
The position involves regular travel across project sites and requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, site coordination and project delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications and contract documents to ensure full compliance
- Monitor site works to ensure installation aligns with design, quality and safety standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to maintain programme and quality
- Carry out inspections and report on workmanship, materials and progress
- Support project planning including pre-construction measures and scheduling
- Assist in testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems
- Maintain site records including site diary and documentation
- Report on quality, EHS, delays and third-party inspections
- Support budget control and ensure projects are delivered within agreed parameters
- Build strong working relationships across project teams to ensure successful delivery
- Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering or building services role
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience working on construction or building services projects
- Strong IT and reporting skills
- Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities on site
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders
- Takes ownership of responsibilities and drives quality standards on site
Salary: €45,000 – €65,000 (DOE)
