The Role – Senior Project Engineer
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering large-scale mechanical projects from planning through to handover. Working closely with the Construction Manager and wider project team, you will ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
This role combines technical engineering, site coordination and commercial awareness, giving you full exposure to project delivery within a fast-paced construction environment.

The Role – Senior Project Engineer
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering large-scale mechanical projects from planning through to handover. Working closely with the Construction Manager and wider project team, you will ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
This role combines technical engineering, site coordination and commercial awareness, giving you full exposure to project delivery within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with site safety standards, including preparation of RAMS and method statements
- Coordinate mechanical works including piping fabrication, installation and testing activities
- Manage RFIs, technical queries and design reviews to resolve constructability issues
- Liaise with subcontractors, workshops and internal teams to maintain programme and quality
- Prepare work scope documentation and specifications for subcontract packages such as HVAC, insulation and cleanroom systems
- Plan material requirements, raise requisitions and manage deliveries to site
- Monitor site progress, labour hours and variations, ensuring accurate reporting and cost control
- Work closely with Quantity Surveyors on variations, reworks and commercial tracking
- Carry out site inspections and ensure compliance with technical specifications and QA/QC standards
- Prepare test packs, commissioning documentation and handover packages
- Manage snagging processes and ensure timely close-out of defects
- Support project reporting, including EHS statistics and progress updates
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Construction or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a mechanical project engineering role
- Strong background in process industries, particularly piping fabrication and installation
- Experience working on pharmaceutical or industrial construction projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Navisworks or similar software
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within construction
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment
- Team-focused with a proactive and solution-driven mindset
Salary: €70,000 – €80,000 (DOE)
